The process of portraiture is just as important as the final image. Taking the time to get to know the subject, and make meaningful connections is my ethos. Photography is an opportunity and a tool to facilitate people seeing themselves through a new lens, and my process prioritizes their creativity and personhood beyond what is socially acceptable or expected.
As a creative director, my aim is to shoot subjects in a way that brings out parts of their identity that they’re proud of. For example, shooting queer people in a way that facilitates gender euphoria, or people in larger bodies in a way that celebrates their body instead of hiding it.
